Snug white-tablecloth eatery serving food subtly informed by pan-Asian influences. For Eithne and Jacque Barry it is all about the food (always confident, sometimes classic, sometimes inventive) and a wine list born of knowledge and enthusiasm.

Jacques is run by people who understand food, who have long embraced Escoffier’s principle of faites simple and who have the sensitivity and judgement to draw from many influences to produce menus that are very much their own. Having been in business for 30 years, they have built up a great network of growers & suppliers of raw ingredients in Cork, including beef, lamb, fresh fish, wild-game in season and wonderful local cheese.

Open Monday 10am - 4pm and Tuesday –
Saturday 10am - 10pm. Lunch is from 12pm - 4pm, side plates and tapas from 5pm to 10pm and evening dinner menu is available between 6pm and 10pm.

It’s a place to which you will return, again and again.

“Little gem in the city” Visited Jacques a few times and it has never disappointed! Attended with family for Tapas and Wine, friendly welcome from staff upon arrival. Wine recommendations to compliment our food choices was spot on, the pâté was the best I've ever had and the Spanish chicken I could have eaten all night! Finished my meal with an espresso martini which was expertly made! Definitely would recommend Jacques!

“Fantastic” This is easily among the best restaurants in Cork - fantastic food, service and ambience. My wife and I visited on a busy night; yet the staff were hospitable and knowledgeable. I had steak (cooked exactly to order) and my wife had hake in bouillabaisse. This was after a wonderful smoked mackerel starter. This is a good step above most restaurants in the city and is good value as well given the quality of the food and service.
