"No words to describe how amazing this castle is"
There are absolutely no words to describe how amazing my husband and my experience was for just ONE night in Ashford Castle, but I'll try so they can have another raving review. Luckily we came early in the day, stayed the night, and the next day left in late afternoon, so we fit a lot in. We booked this castle but had no idea what we were getting into. THEY TREAT YOU LIKE ROYALTY. I've never felt so taken care of by a hotel / resort staff in my life. The grounds are breathtaking, they have super fun activities from horseback riding, to falconry, to golf, and their food is outstanding.

One of the highlights of my WHOLE honeymoon was their tea time. They had a wide choice of teas and treats to go with it. We had been traveling nonstop around a whole lot during our trip to Ireland, but I'll never forget how peaceful and pleasant our tea time at the castle was. If you need a slice of peace during your vacation, I recommend this.

If you have an opportunity to stay even just one night in this castle, DO IT. It's hard to put into words just how incredible this experience was. Thank you Ashford Castle staff for making our honeymoon truly magical!

"The Experience of a Lifetime!"
From the moment you turn onto the long drive that wraps around the property and winds its way up to the castle, you feel simultaneously welcomed home and transported to a fairytale land. Ashford Castle is truly one of the most special places you can ever visit. The Castle is magnificent, with every detail restored to perfection and exquisitely maintained. The grounds extend in all directions, with stunning lake views, formal gardens, and shady forest paths. Activities, such as falconry, clay pigeon shooting, and archery, all help you feel even more steeped in Irish tradition. However, perhaps the most extraordinary part of the stay at Ashford is the people who work at the Castle and who so clearly treat your stay with the utmost importance. They seem to want to share in the Castle's history and traditions with you. Whether young or old, Ashford Castle is an exceptional place to spend your time. The only downside is that it will break your heart to leave!

"It Doesn't Get Any Better Than This!"
We spent almost a month in Ireland and the one day I'll remember over all the others was the day we spent at Ashford Castle. The experience was GRAND from the time we drove through the gates on the way in to when we drove through the gates on the way out. I can't tell you how many rooms they have because they made us feel like we were the only ones staying at the castle that night. There is no detail overlooked in their desire to make your stay perfect. It was an extravagance to be sure but one with no regrets.

"Irish perfection!!"
I traveled to Ashford Castle in April 2019 with my 14 & 12 year old boys. We spent 4 days there after 4 days in Ireland. You simply will not find a grander, more spectacular, & personalized Irish castle experience. The castle is some 800 years old and the historical experience is second to none. We had elegant modernized castle rooms with extraordinary views. We rode Irish horses through the countryside and laughed at newborn lambs with their moms, climbed the highest Irish tree climb, did archery, and (best of all) did a Hawk Walk with the Irish School of Falconry. The service was impeccable, the food was universally delicious, and the entire experience was literally beyond what we could have dreamed. Don’t forget to spend time with the magnificent Irish wolfhounds, Garvin & Cronin, who love there and protect the castle!!!!!!

Naomi and I have a fab 2-night break at Ashford Castle. This is undoubtedly one of the finest venues in Europe complete with friendly and professional service fine dining and first-class amenities. We watched the Irelan v. England rugby game in the lavish cinema and enjoyed room service round the clock - can't wait to return - If you really want a luxury experience it would be hard to beat!

"World class hotel!"
Magnificent hotel in amazing setting. Stayed a full week and had lots to do each day. Staff is gracious and polite. They learned our names and called us by name starting the second day. Do not miss the golfing, hawk walk, cycling, formal gardens, afternoon tea, and walking to Cong. Breakfast is wonderful. Dinner at Cullen’s was a lot better than the dungeon or Wilde’s. George V is a little formal for our taste, but excellent food. Annette Griffin entertains in the parlor after dinner with Irish folk songs. Always a memorable evening. Looking forward to returning.
