Just off the coast road, Whitepark is a most interesting house. Dating from the eighteenth century, with later additions, the property used to include the beach. Now, across the road, a path leads to lovely, sandy Whitepark beach.
The central room of the house with a charming bowed end is where breakfast is served, and guests like to gather around the fire in the long drawing room, which overlooks the gardens that surround the house.
Of the three upstairs bedrooms, one is particularly large with windows all around. The house is full of bits and pieces acquired from Sri Lanka and other points east, where Bob and Siobhan like to escape to in winter. Recently the house has been completely renovated and a conservatory added.
