Five-Stars Georgian house bed and breakfast in the townland of Aghadowey, seven miles south of Coleraine and 3 miles west of Garvagh.
Located in a beautiful setting near the scenic North Coast, the large gardens to the front and rear afford views of the Antrim Hills and the surrounding countryside.
Recommended in many international guides, the guest rooms are well equipped with many thoughtful extras.
Good base for touring North Coast, Giant's Causeway, fishing or golfing.
After spending the month of September in Ireland, there were a few B&B's that stood out and this was one of them. The owners are delightful but they rely on help to keep things going and up to snuff because of their age. Fortunately, they have people that have been with them for the long term. The house is packed with antiques, crystal, and mementos from over the years farming and operating the B&B. The food, service and amenities are o the top of the list.

“Restful Oasis”
We stayed for 2 nights. The setting of the house is beautiful and tranquil. When we arrived Mrs Hegarty had tea making facilities in the bedroom along with a variety of snacks. These were replenished daily. The beds were comfortable and the breakfasts were excellent. We hope to return.

“Fabulous in all respects.”
We stayed three nights at this lovely Georgian style home that is also a working farm. The best part of the stay was meeting Mr. and Mrs. Hegarty and of course Rosemary. They were the most charming people ever.
Our room was huge with beautiful antique furniture. Mrs. Hegarty provided complimentary bottled water and delicious snacks each day. The room was equipped with all of the modern conveniences.
The breakfast menu was diverse and everything was simply delicious. We looked forward to our fabulous breakfast fare each morning. Mrs. Hegarty and Rosemary even packed up some homemade bread and cakes for us to take with us on our sightseeing tours each day.
Greenhill House is in a great location to tour the North Coast; Giant's Causeway; Bushmills Distillery; Dunluce Castle; and the Glens of Antrim; etc. An added plus for us is that the house is located in close proximity to Dungannon where my father was born. We had a great time in this great town located in County Tyrone.
Mrs. Hegarty's lovely home has won numerous awards over the years. Staying with her we could certainly see that the awards were well deserved.
We intend to visit Northern Ireland again quite soon and will certainly be staying with Mrs. Hegarty. She is simply the best! I highly recommend Greenhill House for those desiring to explore the areas previously mentioned.
