A London apartment lives and dies by its location and you couldn't wish for a better one than this. Situated between Paddington and Bayswater stations, you have Notting Hill half an hour's walk to the west, the designer shops of Bond Street a quick tube ride to the east, the pleasant canalside walks of Little Venice to the north and the green expanse of Hyde Park to your south. Needless to say, you won't be short of ways to fill your day. The flat itself is part of a recently renovated building and you certainly get a sense of that as you walk through the door. There's even a reception with concierge services available for guests to use. With a soothing grey colour palette, minimalist spotlights in the ceiling, gold finishes and a white kitchen that's almost dazzling, this home has a clean, contemporary feel that many guests will appreciate. We liked the sociable living area and the small patio space – while it's not the most inviting outdoor area, it's still a nice spot to sit with an end-of-day gin and tonic.
Home truths: *Until the end of August 2024, the building will be undergoing external decoration.
