We were instantly smitten with this apartment when we paid a visit. it’s one of those homes that oozes zen through its interior design, thanks to the preference for calming pastel colours against cleansingly white walls and wooden floors. Being up on the second floor, the balcony with its chic tiling is elevated up enough above street level to be a peaceful space to sit and wonder — alternatively, you can bring out a book from the custom-built shelves in the living room (there are both English and Hebrew titles here). The thoughtful collection of art caught our eye too, from the black and white photographs in the hallways and the abstract paintings dotted about to the collection of wired sculptures in the living room. If it gives you the inspiration to saunter about an exhibition, Stern Gallery is only twelve minutes' walk away. Six minutes further on foot will get you to Gordon Beach, where you can go swimming in the Mediterranean Sea.
Home truths: *The home's on the second floor with no lift (you have to climb thirty-eight steps) so it might not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility
*There's free on-street parking available here, as well as further paid spots nearby if those are taken
*A travel cot, high chair, baby bath and children’s tableware can be provided by the host if required
*There are also beach essentials in the apartment that guests can borrow
