With enough eye-popping 70s style to make Austin Powers blush, this Palm Springs home is groovy, baby. Lower the lights and slink out to the neon-lit garden, where a pool and spa are surrounded by life-size sculptures, candy-coloured furniture and a pop-up bar.

It's just as funky inside, with a look that would do Andy Warhol proud, from the floor-to-ceiling Pop Art prints that hang against monochrome wallpaper to the egg-shaped seats. Thought we were done? The four bedrooms are individually themed and include a Barbie room (yes, there's plenty of pink), the peace-and-love master suite, complete with a neon homage to Beyoncé, and the baby-blue bikini room, which has views out over the mountains.

Alongside jaw-dropping interiors, your host can organise VIP experiences, from cocktail waiters and massages to yoga lessons and private chefs.
