The village has a strong tradition of fishing and farming, with many local businesses, including a number of family-run shops, cafés and restaurants. The National Trust - Mullion Cove is a highlight, boasting scenic walks around the cove. Lizard Point, Helston and many more delightful settlements are within easy reach of the village, along with a plethora of gorgeous beaches, including Kennack Sands.
