While studios may not always be our first choice of accommodation, this home on London's north bank is changing our minds. The former warehouse has had a buzzy redesign from New Yorker Matt Grzywinksi – the result is a chic olive-green room with 50s-style kitchen cabinets and a big, comfy king-size bed. It's a perfect base to explore the city. Soho and East London are within equal distance – just twenty minutes on the tube – while it's a quick ten-minute stroll over the water to the Globe Theatre. When you come back, the home's lobby is a seriously cool spot to unwind, with its Shoreditch-style space, from the leafy plants to the metal columns. There is also a basement gym if you want to pump iron before dinner, whether that be in the small kitchen or at one of the nearby renowned restaurants down the street.
