But when you don't fancy whipping up something, there's a great collection of restaurants, pubs and cafes on your doorstep, plus plenty of shops, boutiques and activities to keep you entertained. Enjoy a morning stroll along the statue-lined promenade or grab a towel and sprawl out on the huge stretch of sand at Filey Beach. But if you prefer a more active holiday, Filey is at the start (or end) of the Clevland Way, which promises fresh air, coastal trails and beautiful views of the ocean.
