Situated in the heart of Brixton, this eclectic apartment feels just like home. It’s a sensorial stay, with an emphasis on colour, pattern and texture. Your host has harmoniously combined Sri Lankan elements with quintessential English features and vintage furnishings to create a charming and characterful home for you to make memories.
From the living room’s bright rug to its fireplace, the library of books and the beautiful artworks, it creates the perfect setting for soirées and cosy nights in with a glass of natural wine. We love the kitchen with its open hatch that leads into the elegant dining room where you can enjoy dinners with the produce you’ve picked up from Brixton Village Market. Step onto the tree-line terrace and you’ll find a secluded spot perfect for enjoying an aperitif or cup of tea (produced and provided by your host) at the golden hour. The bedrooms, too, strike the balance between sophisticated and cosy. The master bedroom, in particular, is a favourite of ours with its thoughtful design, plush bed and considered collectables that invite restful slumbers after a day of exploring the city on foot.
Speaking of the city, you couldn’t be better placed to experience the best of London’s cultural and historical highlights. Catch a concert at the O2 Brixton Academy, hop on the bus to admire contemporary artworks at Saatchi Gallery, or grab the Tube, just a two-minute walk away, to Oxford Circus for a day of sartorial browsing – make sure to grab food in one of Soho’s many upscale and modern eateries.
