A fantastic cottage in a beautiful area. It was a great base to do some wonderful walking. The highlight was climbing a snow covered Pen Y Ghent right from the front door.

The Stables is an amazing place to stay with beautiful views of Pen-y-Ghent from the huge kitchen window. The cottage is unique, having been converted from former stables and is on three levels. All the rooms are very comfortable and warm, lots of board games to play with the children. Superb place to stay, will tell everyone about it and we will hopefully be back next year.

Had a fantastic week, great design and layout, and lovely and warm. What a difference were the owner lets you control the temperature by room thermostat, and not have any silly times pre- set. Kids( both aged 30 !!!) came up to visit over the weekend, and we all had great time. Playing board games, in spacious kitchen, into the ‘wee small hours’. Great walks for ourselves and dogs, Grange over Sands , and Ingleton waterfall trail, well worth a visit. Lovely and comfortable beds, and pretty much everything you wanted in spacious kitchen.

The cottage was very warm and cosy, which it needed to be as we had snow on our first night, and it is in a beautiful location. It was in a great position for local walks. The different levels and the churchyard outside the rear windows added to its unique character. The bedrooms bathroom and sitting room were well appointed and the free WiFi was great as three of our group could not get a mobile signal but were able to FaceTime family over the weekend. I would recommend for friends or a family holiday, although we were only there for a weekend there is a lot to do in the local area so would love to have been able to stay for longer. The owners were very helpful when contacted.

The cottage was so roomy, our two sons are 21 and 15 and are very tall, so having so much space was great. It was very comfortable and the little extras were so welcome. The views of the hills were beautiful and because it was so comfortable we didn't mind when we had to stay in because of the rain.

The standard of the cottage was lovely, furnished to a very high standard and had lots of beautiful finishing touches. I have never been away in cottage on my own before with friends and I did not need to bring a thing with me other than wine! The bedrooms were lovely, the beds were so comfy and the bathroom was huge with a fabulous bath. The kitchen and the living room were also great and we literally did not want to leave when the end of our stay came! Loved it so much! Thank you for a fab stay!

What a great place! A real home from home with everything you need for a great holiday away from it all. Walking is literally on your door step with plenty to do. The dog loved the steam across the way (we couldn't keep him out) and was very useful to get him clean after a day's walk. Would definitely come again and highly recommend this cottage to all.

A stunning, cosy little rustic cottage tucked away in the Dales. A perfect base for exploring the surrounding countryside. The cottage is to a very high standard. We've stayed in a lot of different cottages but this has to be one of the best. Its low beams and quirky layout adds to the rustic feel. We chose this property as we wanted to take our dogs on holiday with us. Although this is a pet friendly cottage, the cleanliness is to a very high standard. Would highly recommend this cottage!
