The ideal Roman retreat, this apartment is mere moments from the Colosseum. You couldn't ask for a better vantage point if sightseeing is on your to-do list. Outside, you'll find the famous landmark at the end of the street, plus nearby public transportation makes it easy to explore further afield. The apartment itself is on the first floor of a 17th-century building. There's a compact kitchenette suitable for snacks, a bright living area with a glimpse of the Colosseum, and a sofa bed for flexible sleeping arrangements. The local area can be a little noisy, and there isn't a lift, but we think it's a solid option for short stays.
Home truths: *At full capacity, two guests will sleep on the sofa bed in the living area.
*If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot upon request.
*This apartment is on the first floor of a historic building without a lift. You'll need to climb stairs.
*You won't find an oven here – though there is a hob. We think the kitchen is better suited to prepping lighter bites than large meals.
*Though the windows are soundproof, this area is quite busy and there's a restaurant near the building. Some street noise is likely.
