Well, here’s the chance to stay in one of Mayfair’s historic homes, built in 1735 – this home is imbued with history (so expect the occasional creaking floorboards). We love the sitting room and its rich colours and many books. While the kitchen is on the compact side, it’s well-equipped, and there are plenty of chic restaurants and cafes to enjoy on your doorstep. There are lots of attractions within walking distance, too. We’re talking Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park, and Knightsbridge, to mention just a few.
Home truths: *There's no lift here. You'll need to be able to climb stairs to reach the entrance of the home. This apartment is on two levels as well.
*The kitchen is well-equipped but compact, but there's a utility room, and there are plenty of eateries and shops nearby.
*Two of the living room windows overlook a wall, so the views aren't the most inspiring.
*Given the home's central spot, you may hear some street noise during your stay.
