The views from this home are pretty spectacular. Facing the Cannaregio Canal, you definitely won’t forget that you’re in Venice anytime soon. A mix of Art Nouveau touches and contemporary minimalism, it’s the past meets the present in an elegant version. We particularly loved the modern kitchen – it’s a dream for any chef because of the high-quality appliances and a sociable kitchen island. The location isn’t the most central (it’s a thirty-minute walk away from Piazza San Marco), but Cannaregio is also a charming neighbourhood – and the nearest Vaporetto stop isn't far away.
Home truths: *Be prepared for some up and down – it’s on the first floor with no lift (you have to climb thirty-eight steps)
*The kitchen could do with some more crockery and cutlery
