Area
Crantock is a small Cornish village, set back from the coast, close to the popular resort of Newquay. If you want to escape the crowds, yet still be close to the action, this is the place to be. There's stunning countryside all around and lots of pretty villages to explore; however, it is the coast that dominates. Enjoy superb walks along the coastal path over dramatic cliff-tops, or magnificent surfing on beaches stretching from Watergate Bay in the North to Fistral beach in the centre of Newquay and on down the coast. There are a number of golf courses in the area, as well as National Trust properties, traditional pubs and outstanding restaurants. Newquay itself is a visitor's paradise with a wide variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, plus attractions such as the Sea Life Centre, Newquay Zoo and nearby Dairyland and Eden Project.

Cornwall’s visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain’s premier holiday destinations.

This was a very spacious and modern cottage that had been really well renovated. Situated in the very centre of Crantock village, it was very easy for us to walk down to the beach nearby - less than five minutes walk. The SW coast path was also easily accessible from the road and the beach entrance which takes you towards Poly Joke and beyond.
I would definitely want to come back here to explore further. There are so many things to do and see, not least for the water sports and wildlife watching! The house is ideal for a big group.Thank you for our stay!

Great village location and walking distance to the beach. Fantastic open plan living with stunning garden and hot tub. Had everything you could possibly need provided, perfect for a family break with friends.

What a fantastic place to stay for a family holiday. We all agreed ,that's 7 adults the properties we hired the Barn next door for a couple of friends were ideal. My daughter thought it was like a home from a glossy mag. Well equipped we needed nothing.
We had good weather for mid September and picnicked out on the patio area, my 15month grand daughter had a great time with the toys in the huge conservatory. We cannot praise the property enough. Will return. Crantock is like are second home.

Stunning weather which obviously helped made our week long stay absolutely perfect, the Post Office/ store was well stocked and next door, the beach was breathtaking and totally un-spoilt with clear blue water within 5 mins walk. Lovely light bright house with great enclosed private garden, though the Patio needed a weeding especially around the fab hot tub which did spoil the look slightly but that's my only negative comment, the rest of the house was fab and master suite was perfect. Would definitely go back to this great dog friendly house and village again.

This house is very recently renovated. Modern, clean, well-appointed, great beds, very usable kitchen, lovely finishes. The back garden is a treat - you can't tell that you have any neighbors beyond the flowerbeds, even though the house is directly in the center of the village and 50 feet from the grocery and under a minute walk to a couple of decent pubs.

It was perfect for an extended family of 5 adults, 5 children and a few dinner guests. Very child-friendly with a stair gate and a closet full of toys, though some of the walls and stairs outside required vigilance.

Crantock was well situated as well, near a number of child-friendly amenities like a steam railway, a surprisingly enjoyable zoo and a demonstration farm for kids. The nearby beach was a 10 minute hilly walk or 1 minute car ride.

Please note that I had perfect weather for 7 days, which might have biased my impressions.
