Set within a 19th-century lighthouse overlooking the sandy beaches of Harlyn and Constantine Bays, the setting of this cottage is as unique as it is picturesque. While there is no private garden, there are plenty of communal lawns to go around between the four holiday cottages, and the private bench outside your door is a nice perch for morning cuppas. Although blissfully secluded, there are no amenities within walking distance. But the bustle of postcard-perfect Padstow is just a four-mile drive away.
Home truths: *Access roads to the lighthouse are narrow, with limited passing places. There is parking for one car on the communal grounds. Additional public parking is available 100 yards away.
*The lighthouse does not have a fog signal, so nothing will disturb your sleep here.
*There is very limited mobile signal. However, a telephone with honesty box is provided.
*Two travel cots and high chairs are available on request. Though there is fencing at the cliff edges, children will need to be supervised at all times.
*One of the bedrooms has zip and link beds which can be made up as a twin or a double – just request with your host in advance.
*Guests should be aware that they are staying in a heritage building and floor levels are uneven.
