On Costa Rica’s Pacific Coast, this lavish villa is a short walk from the bone-white sand and turquoise shallows of Playa Flamingo and overlooks Potrero Bay. Take in the sea view from the cool of the infinity pool, which sits above it all on the first-floor terrace. Loungers face the coast, which sprawls out before you like the contours of a map. An outdoor kitchen upgrades a barbecue to a full chef experience for the cook of the group and there’s covered dining for the whole gang with a side-helping of ocean vistas. Inside, the open living area has a boho-beachy feel and there are plenty of entertainment options for an evening in – table tennis, a cinema room with a huge flat-screen TV and pool table, and a bar by the dining table. Our favourite spot? The master bedroom’s private little balcony where the view stretches for miles across jungle and sea.
