The immediate surroundings of this home in Tavira are relatively sedate, allowing you to really delve into the authentic Portuguese way of life away from the hubbub of the busier coastal resorts. It also means that if you are hoping to simply kick back with a good book, soak up the sun, catch up with your travel companions, or get in the kitchen and try your hand at replicating famous Portuguese dishes – then you are in luck! Though you will find great restaurants serving typical regional dishes and bars frequented by locals and tourists alike in Tavira, as well as in Santa Luzia and Fuseta – each reachable in around 10-15 mins by car.
