There’s no chance of forgetting where you are when you stay in The Bowline. The nautical theme runs through the entire apartment (and when you head out, the entire town of Salcombe), but with good reason. This part of south Devon has some of the most picturesque coast in the country, so it makes sense that the area emphasises that. The apartment itself is charming, with a real homely atmosphere. It’s not huge, but if you don’t try to pack it out, it’s plenty big enough, and Diana’s hosting is top-notch, which goes a very long way.
Home truths: *You might not get an in-person check-in, but there's a remote system that works very smoothly
*When we measured the wi-fi, we could only get 9Mbps. Diana is working on a faster wi-fi set-up which will be ready by mid-summer
*The kitchen is well-equipped but rather small
*The 3rd bedroom has a small double
*The pool is shared with 3 other flats
