Mevagissey is a village steeped in charm and this characterful cottage fits right in. Step inside and you'll fall in love with the homey feel and traditional features – we're talking slate floors, wooden beams in the main bedroom and an original red-brick fireplace. On chilly nights, we can't think of anything better than snuggling up in front of the log burner, a glass of wine in one hand and a good book in the other. Board games, puzzles and a small DVD collection will keep boredom at bay on rainy days, while the sleek galley kitchen is well-stocked for cooking if you fancy a homemade meal.
Tucked down a narrow lane in the heart of town, you'll be perfectly placed to explore the treasure trove of cafes, restaurants and pubs on your doorstep. Take a stroll around the postcard-worthy harbour, where fishermen still come back with the catch of the day after being out on the water. Of course, the biggest draw here is the dreamy Cornish coastline – Pentewan Beach isn't a far drive and the South West Coast Path is ideal for a trek in the fresh air.
