Area Nestled on the banks of the River Severn on the outskirts of Worcester lies the small village of Claines. The village takes its name from the Claines Parish prior, which was originally part of the area many years ago. Within the village there is a famous pub, The Mug House, which is one of only two pubs in a churchyard in England. There are also a handful of independent shops, two convenience stores and a farm shop selling local produce. The nearby town of Droitwich Spa offers a greater choice of amenities and attractions including the Avoncroft Museum of Historic Buildings and Aztec Adventure water sports activity centre, plus several well-establish festivals which run throughout the year. Additionally, the village is set at the heart of England, meaning that it has great links to Birmingham, Worcester and well as the Shakespeare Country of Straford-Upon-Avon.
