With designer furniture, art, and high-end electronics, Sterling Silver is about as far from the cookie-cutter rental apartment as you can get. It’s a beautiful flat in its own right, but part of what makes it special is its sense of place. It maintains a charm, and an attachment to the city, without sacrificing any of the comforts or appearing, god forbid, rustic. We’re particular fans of the lights above the dining table, but really, you could point to anything in the flat and make a case that it’s the highlight.
Home truths: *We came across a few small marks on the walls, nothing major – but worth knowing about
*The shower in the en-suite bathroom is visible from the bed, so make sure you're comfortable with anyone you're sharing the room with
*While there is a reception in the building, it's not staffed 24/7
