This lovely flat, just a ten-minute walk from the historic heart of Funchal, is the perfect spot to rest your legs after a day exploring the city. With the neutral colour scheme and stylish furnishings, there's a relaxed air about this place that we love. The light-filled living area is calm and comfortable – just grab a glass of wine, kick back on the cosy sofa, and you'll feel utterly at ease. And this apartment doesn't lack charm, either, thanks to the parquet flooring, stylish pocket doors and Juliette balconies on the floor-to-ceiling windows. Begin your day with breakfast prepared in the kitchen – though on the smaller side, it's still nicely stocked with everything you need – before hitting the town. Stroll the city's cobbled streets – the famous Mercado dos Lavradores is a must-visit – or wander along the seaside promenade. When it's time for dinner, we recommend sampling local cuisine at one of the fabulous restaurants, then finishing off the evening with an alfresco nightcap at one of the vibrant bars by the water.
