Sicilian Blossom

With easy access to Scicli, Modica, and the sea, this villa is ideally located for exploring southern Sicily. Day trips around the island are a given, but there's a lot to like back home, too. For starters, the private pool and olive tree-dotted garden are lovely spots to relax in the sun – although the exterior looks a little tired and could do with a refresh. Charming features inside, like timber ceilings, are given a contemporary twist, including sleek en-suite bathrooms with walk-in rainfall showers. Two of the bedrooms have external access, perfect for guests wanting extra privacy. We also like the covered terrace, where alfresco meals will undoubtedly be on the itinerary.

Home truths:
*Most of the bedrooms here are on the ground floor, making them ideal for guests with limited mobility. One has a double bed with a lofted room above containing two single beds and a bathroom. Two more bedrooms are accessed externally.
*If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a free cot and high chair on request.
*The swimming pool is only available to use between 1st March and 30th November. It's unfenced, so children will need to be supervised.
*Bath towels, pool towels and bed linen are included. They'll be changed weekly. You'll also have a mid-week cleaning.
*Due to the location, we suggest hiring a car for ease. There's private parking here.
*We think the exterior and terraces could use a refresh.
