Located in the Nassfeld ski area not too far from the Italian border, this single-level chalet is the very epitome of cosiness. The interior design keeps things simple but effectively so – there are wooden finishes in every direction the eye looks mixed with mid-century-inspired furnishings and sleek surfaces in the kitchen and bathroom.
The large windows and tall glass door bring in plenty of natural light and offer views of the snow falling outside. However, if you're here during the warmer months, you can make the most of the alfresco seating available in the garden – a lovely spot from which to gaze out at local Alpine mountain peaks.
There's a pretty big reason people come to this part of the world and that's skiing. Thankfully, there's a bus that will take you up to Nassfeld's pristine routes only 50 metres from the front door. The town of Tröpolach is only 2km when you need supplies and restaurants to refuel ahead of another day of carving up the slopes, as well.
