The perfect holiday home, everything you need at your hand. Large spacious bungalow with a wonderful garden and 2 Summer Houses. Nothing is too much trouble for George who welcomed us. Suitable for young and old. Our family of 6 arrived over after a lengthy journey from both Bournemouth and Salisbury via Rosslare Harbour and Stena Line. The journey was long and we were all very tired but as soon as we entered the bungalow, everything was laid out for us ready for us to just flop into lovely comfortable beds. The property is very well furnished from lovely comfortable sofas to a well kitted out kitchen. In fact anything you would find in your own home was provided. Lovely light and large rooms, large spacious hallways, separate TV room and absolutely wonderful views of Wicklow Bay and Golf Course. The garden was a haven for the children, lots of places to play hide and seek in. My husband had a field day, playing golf at all of the Clubs around us, the children had a great time on the beach at Brittas Bay and I was spoiled as coming from Ireland myself, I was between friends in South County Wicklow and family in Dublin. A perfect position to visit both. The Drive to Dublin (45 mins), Dublin Zoo (1 hour on the motorway) and a must visit if you have children. Powerscourt Gardens and Waterfall (30 mins). So much to see and do. A walk into the town of Wicklow is only 20 mins and the supermarket (Tesco) is only 10 mins in the car. There is a lovely butcher in Wicklow called Dunnes (on your left at you drive into the town and also a wonderful Greengrocer. Lots of coffee bars to have snacks and a lovely walk down to the Harbour. Also take a walk to the Lighthouse out on the headline, south of the Wicklow Golf Club. You could be lucky and see the seals out in the bay from this point.
This is truly a wonderful property, spacious, clean, well maintained and perfectly placed with uninterrupted views of the sea. There is a telescope in the sitting room where you can watch the ships, both large and small pass by all day long.
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this holiday property and as we are constant travellers back and forth to Ireland, I will certainly be using it again.
