As homes get closer to a city centre, they generally tend to get a little smaller. However, this apartment in one of the most coveted neighbourhoods in London proves that you don't need masses of space to create a stylish and inviting address. We were really impressed by the mid-century-inspired furnishings in the living room, the sleek marble kitchen and the similarly pristine bathroom. This tasteful interior feels entirely in keeping with the trendy Shoreditch locale, in which you're surrounded by some of London's most celebrated bars, restaurants and nightlife venues. However, despite this, the building's located on a quiet side street, so you can still enjoy a peaceful night's sleep. There's even a small park just next door where you can sit outside if the weather is agreeable.
Home truths: *It's on the third floor of the building and there's no lift, so it might not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility

*There's an office building opposite, so you might need to close the blinds for privacy at some points
