The Staghunters Inn, a short distance down the road, offers a cosy place to unwind after a long day of exploring. Popular visitor spots such as Watersmeet, Lynmouth and Lynton, and the Doone Valley are also nearby.

The kitchen is well equipped, and includes a under-counter fridge (with freezer box), dishwasher, electric oven with hob and microwave. Other equipment includes toaster, kettle, a variety of cookware, kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery, glasses and dining table.
The comfortable sitting room has an open fire, which you are welcome to use but we ask that guests supply their own logs etc, we have left some logs and a firelighter in the basket but if you use these, we would ask that you replace them to give the next guest the same opportunity.
There is a door at the bottom of the stairs, which leads up to the bedrooms and shower room. Both bedrooms have zip-link beds so can be made up as king-size double beds or twin bedrooms, unless otherwise requested at time of booking (or with at least 7 days notice) the beds will be made as one double bed and two singles.
A hair dryer is provided for your convenience.
Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of your accommodation. The cottage has gas-fired central heating throughout which can be adjusted to suit your preferences and the seasons.
Bed linen, duvets, blankets and towels are provided for your convenience, but please bring your own beach towels if you wish to take towels with you on day trips.
There may be non-perishable items like a salt, pepper and a few herbs or spices available. Cleaning materials such as washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets/powder, and surface cleaner will be present in the property. One toilet rolls will be provided.
Up to two well-behaved dogs welcome (strictly two maximum) but please do not allow your dog on the furniture or upstairs at all. Dogs are charged at £5 per dog per stay.

Location Exmoor National Park straddles North Devon and West Somerset. Brendon is not far from the coast and there are a myriad of fantastic walks, lovely beaches and interesting places to explore nearby!
The nearest amenities are found in Lynmouth and Lynton, or in the opposite direction is Porlock. Lynton has a range cafes, restaurants and pubs to choose from, there are two mini-supermarkets, a bank, post office, chemist and an excellent Tourist Information Centre. There is also a small cinema, and tennis and bowls facilities. The twin village of Lynmouth sits on the harbour below at the bottom of the hill, and also has a good choice of shops, pubs and restaurants. Lynmouth can be accessed via road, footpath or the famous funicular railway between Lynmouth and Lynton.
Lynton and Lynmouth are very special places to visit, the spectacular coastline and deeply cut river valleys in this unique area provide wonderful opportunities for walking; the South West Coast Path and the Two Moors Way are two examples. The famous Watersmeet is not far away, a beautiful National Trust tea garden and shop situated at the meeting of the East Lyn River and Hoar Oak Water. If this isn't enough, sandy beaches can be found within a delightful scenic drive.
Porlock is a wonderful working Exmoor village and boasts three pubs, two grocery shops, a traditional local butcher, chemist, cash machine, hardware shop, visitor centre, art galleries and a range of independent restaurants, shops and tea rooms.
The larger towns of Minehead 14 miles, Ilfracombe and Barnstaple are all approximately 20 miles away, here you will find the larger supermarkets, high street banks, etc.
