Right by Minchinhampton Common, this 200-year-old stone cottage is right out of a postcard. The exposed stone fireplace and wood-burning stove make the living room extra cosy, and you'll find a reading snug with vaulted ceilings up on the second floor, seamlessly blending history with modernity. Outdoors, the private courtyard garden boasts space to sit out and share drinks and evening conversation. For an additional fee, two well-behaved dogs are welcome to join you here, and they'll love the surrounding countryside with its winding walking trails and picturesque valleys.
Home truths: *There is limited free on-street parking here. There is also a car park nearby where you can park for free for 23 hours.
*Both bedrooms here are upstairs, so you'll need to climb stairs during your stay. There are also some uneven floors upstairs due to the age of the home.
*There is a step up to the kitchen with a low beam.
*If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a stairgate but you'll need to bring your own cot and high chair.
*The wi-fi at this home is intended for recreational use, so we wouldn't recommend relying on it for remote working during your stay.
*You'll receive a free welcome hamper when you first arrive here, containing tea, coffee, sugar and milk along with a few extra goodies.
