This desert home is simply breathtaking. Set in the sought-after Mesa neighbourhood, just a few minutes drive from central Palm Springs, it's a notable piece of mid-century architecture that's been reimagined to create the perfect luxurious retreat. High in the hills, with the rocky outcrops as its dramatic backdrop, it's cool, contemporary and as stylish as they come. Seemingly built into the rocky hillside itself, the steps up to the front door lead to a single storey home with vast window walls to make the most of the incredible 200-degree views over the mountain ranges, valley floor and the city. There's a comfortable living room with a cosy fireplace, which opens onto a modern kitchen with spaces to eat as a group both indoors and out. And while two fabulous bedrooms are in the central part of the house, the added casita is just on the other side of the outdoor lounge area and boasts metallic walls and a graffiti wall of song lyrics behind the bed, which gives it its nickname 'Love Shack'. Add in a few bonus features like an outdoor bar, barbecue, fire pits, infinity pool with a spa, and we think this place is really rather special.
