The Chalet

This villa is a great choice for those seeking a coastal escape near Lisbon. Set on a popular golf resort, you're only 25 kilometres from the buzz of the city, yet a short drive from the Praia Fonte da Telha beach – that's what we call the best of both worlds. Taking advantage of the fantastic Portuguese weather is easy with a private pool, sunny garden, and an outdoor dining table. Inside, a breezy living area and en-suite bedrooms offer plenty of space for everyone. Although a few rooms are on the cosier side and the design isn't exactly spectacular, we think this home will do the job for a family getaway.

*This home is on a golf resort, so expect to bump into other residents during your stay.
*While not all bathrooms are photographed, we expect the style and quality to be consistent with the rest of the home. Please note one of the WCs is outside.
*Two bedrooms are located on the ground floor. One of the ground-floor rooms has a pull-out trundle bed. We think this is better for a child.
*We think hiring a car in this location is necessary. There's private parking for three cars here. Your host also provides two adult bicycles and two child bikes.
*Some of the bedrooms are a little plain. The lack of character may not suit everyone's tastes.
