Open the window and breathe in the sea air – the beach is just a stone’s throw away from here. This seaside apartment is in a beautifully converted Victorian building, with views that stretch all the way down to Whitby Harbour. A well-equipped kitchen means you’ll easily be able to cook wholesome meals at home – if you’re not already full from trying the town’s fantastic fish and chips, that is. It’s the perfect retreat after a day of sightseeing, with huge soft beds and a soaking tub in the bathroom. We’d recommend lighting the candles on top of the fireplace for that finishing touch and peaceful atmosphere. Or, head out onto the balcony, and listen to the gulls and the waves as you plan your next move – with a range of antique shops, cute coffee shops and the world-famous Whitby Abbey to explore, you're spoilt for choice in this unique North Yorkshire town.
