One well-behaved dog welcome at a supplement, but sorry, no smoking. WiFi, fuel, power, starter for woodburning stove, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. The beautiful village of Thornton-le-Dale lies just two miles to the east of Pickering within The North York Moors National Park and the Dalby Forest. This is an idyllic location at the head of a beautiful valley and is a walkers, bikers and nature lovers paradise. Scarborough and Whitby are 13 and 20 miles away and offer all the amenities and facilities of two of the country's best coastal resorts. York and Castle Howard are about an hours drive away and offer all the history and culture that any holiday would need. The neighbouring market towns of Pickering, Malton, Kirbymoorside and Helmsley are great destinations and are the hubs for many summer festivals and shows. The National Park and Coastline offer many opportunities for a great day out. The North York Moors National Park is on the doorstep with miles of open moor to wander through.
