Area Nestled on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, between Ingleton and Kirkby Lonsdale, Thornton-in-Lonsdale is a quaint village with countryside scenery and easy access to many fantastic walks throughout the local scenery, including the Yorkshire Three Peaks, Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-Ghent. The village offers a lovely local farm shop, County Harvest, which also sports a café, ideal for stocking up on essentials and grabbing a cup of tea before heading out to explore, as well as a local pub, The Marton Arms. The neighbouring town of Ingleton offers more amenities and attractions, with local shops, a climbing wall, an outdoor pool (summer only) and selection of eateries, including The Falls Bar and Kitchen, the Wheatsheaf and La Tavernetta Italian Restaurant, as well as walks beside the beautiful River Greta, ideal for birdwatching, and for exploring the picturesque Ingleton Waterfalls Trail.
