Step into the rugged scenery and captivating coastline of Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way then allow yourself to be nourished by a captivating 17th Century converted granary.
Lose yourself in the magic of its ancient orchard, breathtaking walled garden where the magic of the faeries is all pervading. The tranquility and essence of the House serves to nourish even the most weary of souls. We offer our guests a plethora of experiential delights, handpicked by us and tailored to individual requirements.
The House was a part of a greater estate belonging to the affluent Lord Clanmorris in the 17th and 18th centuries. One night, after a raging fire engulfed the acreage, the property was raised to the ground in its entirety, save for the granary.
Down a little boreen off the village road, the house and gardens of the property are embraced by the ancient stone-walled garden of the former Clanmorris estate. It was these walls that protected it from the clambering flames that felled the manor house centuries ago, and you can still feel a great sense of security and peace as you walk amongst the green today.
History:
The property has been converted over the years from a historic granary to a beautiful home and self contained wing thanks to the loving care and considered transformation of its various owners. Today, we celebrate a culmination of all this history, and invite guests to enjoy the perfect harmony of past and present.
The areas surrounding the House are also no stranger to bygone times, with well-known characters gracing an appearance including Richard and Patricia Nixon, Ronald Regan and the Pope.
As with all things in history, the House is an ever-evolving story, and with each guest the narrative continues. We look forward to welcoming you to this hidden gem, where you will find yourself in awe of and inspired by the magic that is the Wild West of Ireland.
It's a beautiful spot with lots to do in the area and beyond. The wing is clean, spacious and delightful to stay in. The walled gardens are stunning and the peace and quiet is palpable. I'd recommend Caroline's place to anyone. It's lush and that 4 poster bed is definitely the best I've ever slept on. The bath is quite the exoerience too! wonderful! We had a truly lovely stay. Caroline was attentive and welcoming. As was the sweet little cat! Thanks Caroline, for sharing the magic of the House!

“Home away from Home” Newbrook House gave me the warmest and most wonderful sense of home. Any stress I had before arrival absolutely melted away during my stay. One of the philosophy’s of this B&B is to ‘nourish the soul’ and that is exactly how I felt, nourished. I would highly encourage people to stay at Newbrook House if they are visiting the West of Ireland. It is truly worth it.

“a great place for the holidays” I stayed here with my girlfriend during the Christmas holidays and we had the best time. We felt quietly tucked away at Newbrook House and enjoyed a very merry Christmas in front of the roaring fire. In the day we took walks outside in the incredible winter light, and we would end up at a different local pubs for a fresh pint of Guinness. Newbrook House is a great place for the holidays.

“So much to do” We were really surprised to discover how much there is to do in this area of Ireland! There is so much to experience in the West, and Newbrook House was the perfect ‘home base’ for us to then go out and explore.
