Nestled on Loch Alsh's north shore, this historic cottage is the picture of cosiness. You'll find it on an estate belonging to the National Trust for Scotland, just a short drive from the shops and eateries in Kyle of Lochalsh. The views are truly something special, stretching all the way from the hilly Highlands across the lake to the Isle of Skye. There's a private garden where you can bask in the panoramas, while the living area has a wood burner for chilly evenings. If you're after a rural retreat with scenery to spare, this is it.
