Lowdale Barns East is a superb cottage in a beautiful rural location.

Area Sleights is ideal for a holiday. 4 miles from the Yorkshire coastline, it is on the edge of the moors with attractive villages and scenery. Sleights boasts a pub, a fish and chip shop, an antique shop with a café, a butcher's, a bakery, a hairdressers and a shop with a Post Office. The North Yorkshire Steam Railway is a short drive away. Whitby lies at the River Esk and is situated for exploring this part of Yorkshire. It is a town of winding streets and hidden alleys, with a harbour, sandy beaches and the abbey, reached by the famous 199 steps.
Region The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

We were looking for somewhere we could stay for a week with our dog in order to avoid the World Cycling Championships (apologies to any cycling fans who may read this!).
We liked the look of Lowdale Barns East and we were certainly not disappointed. The accommodation has been designed with an immaculate eye for detail and is furnished to a very high standard. It is a perfect rural retreat for two in close proximity to Whitby and many other seaside towns and villages.
After days at the beach with our dog we were able to enjoy the evening sunshine and just chill. We live on a busy main road and the serenity and tranquility of the location of Lowdale Barns East was, for us, just perfect.
I would highly recommend this accommodation if you are looking for somewhere to stay which is very comfortable and close to all that the North East coast has to offer.

Superb cottage in a quiet location. We had a great week here using the place as a base to tour around the locality. We visited Whitby, Scarborough, Robin Hoods Bay, Goathland, Staithes to name a few. All were great places in their own right! The cottage itself was very very nice and clean, the owner didn't bother us at all but was there if we needed anything.
