We drove from Wicklow but met up with huge group of relatives at Croagh Patrick and climbed it. Then went on to a pub in a nearby town to meet up with all the relatives who were in town to celebrate a 50th anniversary! I said to my wife you know we should have took a little time out and checked into this hotel are cousins were nice enough to reserve a huge block of rooms for us? My wife not knowing said no it should be allright just go to party. I said you know this isnt like Chicago if it is small hotel someone is not going to be sitting at desk at 2AM! Well sure enough at 2AM we pull up in pouring rain and we had to ring doorbell to wake up this poor guy Michael. Great guy! Sorry Michael! Anyways room was Big for are family of 5. Bathroom was big also. Breakfast area was nice roomy and clean. 2 same nice ladies served great breakfast all 3 mornings we stayed. I had no clue anything about this place but I stumbled on that lake and AWESOME walking trail/Greenway right behind it. WOW! Next day I needed directions to get to BAILLE? There was my man Michael mapping out perfect directions for us. This clean place really worked out perfect for all of us. Only 10 minute walk into town. They let us use lobby as gathering place to drink so we did not bother anyone! Even let kids play tennis for free which my kids enjoyed! Really had a great time thanks to the staff and my wifes cousins for finding this GEM!!

"HUGE family gathering.." We were having a large family re-union with many guests travelling from the UK and the US. It was a 50th wedding anniversary and there were 4 generations of family attending...from 80s to infants. From the start, Paul the owner was a master of efficiency, dealing with all queries from booking changes and date availability to room configuration and accessibility issues. We took several rooms in the lodge, 2 three bed cottages and 1 four bed cottage. It is my understanding from all parties that they were more than happy with the accommodation. The lodge rooms and cottages are spacious and spotless. The setting for the cottages is secure, safe for children and very picturesque. Lough Lannagh itself is pretty and the park and access to the Greenway is a wonderful amenity. It's about 10 minutes walk up to the main shopping area. It's a pity the adjacent aquatic centre was not opened yet. All in all, I could not recommend Lough Lannagh Holiday Village enough. We planned this event and visit for nearly a year and Paul and his team did not let us down in any way. Thank you for the memories....

"Great place for families" Have stayed here in the past and standards have not slipped. Very happy with everything about our stay. Great to be able to walk around the adjoining lake. Ideal base to travel around Mayo and Galway.

"Perfect spot for national conference" Organised a national conference and AGM for Irish Assoc. of Health Stores at Lough Lannagh and it was the perfect setting. Reasonably priced comfortable accommodation. Excellent food served how and when it was required, and we're fussy eaters. A wonderful setting for a casual get together the evening before- with a bring your own wine option offered. A splendid and atmospheric setting for our conference in the Macalla Hall, with all mod cons. Close to the town centre, but easy access to the Mayo countryside. Paul & Ronan made my job easy from the outset.

“A weekend break shopping break.” 5 of 5 starsReviewed 3 weeks ago Starting with the staff Paul and Ronan who looked after us so well. When we arrived we experienced such a warm welcome, it was like visiting family. We were given a lot of local information regarding restaurants, walks, shops etc., Our rooms were so clean and comfortable, we did not expect such a high standard for such a reasonable price. We had complimentary toiletries, flat screen TV, heated towel rails, additional blankets etc., The following morning we had the most wonderful breakfast, fresh fruit, cereals and the full irish accompanied by the most wonderful coffee. During our stay we had access to a kitchen with complimentary tea and coffee. The walks around the village are spectacular, the view from the lake is so beautiful especially at sunset. We have already planned our next trip and we are counting down the weeks.

“Great Stay at Lough Lannagh” 5 of 5 starsReviewed 3 weeks ago We (2 adults and 2 young kids) just spent 3 nights at Lough Lannagh holiday village. We were very impressed with the service and the cleanliness of the rooms. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful.Special mention to the lady serving breakfast on each of our mornings there. She managed to keep all customers happy and did it with a smile(not easy). Castlebar is a great location to base yourself if you want to explore other parts of Mayo. We did day trips to Crough Patrick,Louisburg and Achill. All easily reachable. In Lough Lannagh itself there are lovely walks and a playground onsite. Just outside the entrance to the village there's another playground and astro pitch where we all enjoyed a few games of footy. Would highly recommend the place and plan to return again.
