Go off-grid for a while with a stay at this delightful shepherd’s hut squirreled away in the kitchen garden of a smart Georgian cottage. Set in the peaceful village of Wingfield, you’re perfectly situated on the outskirts of Bath. Despite its dinky dimensions, there's room to breathe at this charming escape. Every inch of the design has been considered - with a Belfast sink, terrazzo dining table, sumptuous velvet loveseat to sink into, neat bathroom, and a king-sized bed to bank a peaceful nights sleep. Open the doors onto misty mornings, don your fluffy dressing, and pad out to your private wood-fired hot tub – there’s no better way to start the day. In warmer months, find a sunny spot for al fresco breakfast, then come together for a magical evening of stargazing around the fire pit. On wintery days, the powerful wood-burning stove, which acts as an oven, hob, and heater for the hut, will ramp up the cosy factor, as you curl up for movie nights with the hut's film projector. And when it’s time to get out and about, you’re just a twenty-minute drive from the centre of Bath, and an hour's drive from the Cotswolds for day trips. Or for something a little wilder, you’ve plenty of walks and open-water swimming spots close by.
