Nestled in the heart of the Chianti district and surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and cypress trees, this farmhouse couldn’t be more authentically Italian if it tried. Inside, the traditional style may not be to everyone’s taste, but its sympathetic renovation keeps the home's history alive – just watch your head on some of those low ceilings. Set on a 69-acre farm, you can even buy some of its specially-produced extra virgin olive oil, best sampled as part of an alfresco meal with loved ones. After all, with a private pool, sun-kissed terraces and countryside vistas, outdoors is the place to be.
