On the fifth floor of a restored 1920s building, we find Lady Sunshine. This two-bedroom home brings a lot to the table with its gorgeous views of Tel Aviv’s fast-changing skyline and the transparent wall that adds a luminous feel to the space. The immediate neighbourhood isn’t the most attractive part of the city, but you’re within easy access to both the beach, Carmel Market and some of Allenby Street’s more charming offshoots.
Home truths: * This home is located on a particularly noisy stretch of Allenby Street
* Functional solutions have been prioritised over design
* The second bedroom is on the smaller side
* Even though the see-through window fills the master bedroom with lots of natural light - it's not to everyone's liking to have a transparent wall between the bedroom and communal areas
* When we visited, we noticed a couple of scuff marks on some of the walls
* The mirror in the second bedroom has a few scratches
