Right in the centre of the quintessentially British village of Ditchling, this cottage provides a cosy base to explore Sussex. We think it's a great pick for those wanting proximity to Brighton and Hove, which are just ten minutes by car. The decor is a little dated, particularly in the kitchen and bathroom, but you'll have everything you need for rustling up family meals. While there's no indoor dining room, there is space in the rear garden for dining alfresco during warmer seasons. The village is walkable with farm shops and local pubs, and South Downs National Park is nearby for hikers.
Home truths: *Free parking is available on the street, and there are nearby car parks that offer free parking. If you're travelling without a car, Hassocks Station is just five minutes away in a taxi.
*Both bedrooms are on the first floor so climbing stairs will be a requirement at this home. There are also a couple of small steps between rooms on the ground floor, which may not be suitable for all guests.
*The bathroom and kitchen feel a little dated.
*This home doesn't have a dedicated dining room, but there is space in the garden for alfresco dining.
*Self check-in is available here.
