It is a wonderfully positioned vacation location for walking the South West Coastal Path, seeing the high mountains of neighbouring Bodmin Moor, or lounging on the beach at nearby Trebarwith Strand. The famed fishing village of Port Isaac and the town of Tintagel, with its tourist hotspots and King Arthur's fabled castle, are all within a short drive, as is the gorgeous surfing beach of Polzeath, which is only nine miles away. Nearby lies Slaughtersbridge, where King Arthur is said to have fought his final fight, and a journey north along the coast takes in the picturesque cove at Crackington Haven. Delabole Quarry, located close down the road, is a fascinating tourist site with breathtaking vistas. It is the starting point for beautiful rural hikes. Local buses serve a number of towns and villages with a stop in Trewarmett itself, opposite the house.
