The Joan of Arch is a truly unique and charismatic home. Built in 1900, this property is serving us some of the best architectural features we’ve seen – a series of six original brick arches that enchant the downstairs communal area. We love that this is a family-friendly home, with a well-equipped kitchen, dining area, and living area all in one open space, so that everyone can spend time together. The cherry on top is the private garden and fireplace, so guests can enjoy the long summer nights… or winter nights, if you’re into that.
Home truths: *This is a working family home and that shows some wear and tear
*Guests in bedroom two have to walk through bedroom three for access, though they both can be secured for privacy
*Baby monitors have been mounted throughout the house, but these do not record and cannot be accessed remotely – still this might be an issue for some
*The children’s rooms are painted with murals, which might not be very appealing to some adults
*This is a very busy and characterful home – clutter-phobes will want to look elsewhere
*The kitchen is somewhat outdated, though perfectly functional
