Perched above Robin Hood's Bay in the delightful village of Fylingthorpe, which offers a traditional pub, convenience store and children's play park, and is less than a mile from Robin Hood's Bay.
Robin Hood's Bay is a great place for adults and children, venture down into the picture postcard village and take a stroll along the beach, where the kids will enjoy rock pooling and fossil hunting, you can also walk to nearby Boggle Hole cove complete with goblin cave or take to the cobbled streets to find a range of shops, pubs, cafes and the obligatory seaside fish and chip shop. The woodland walk with Falling Foss waterfall and tea gardens are definitely worth a visit, as is Whitby, both within 5 miles, where you can pick up the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.
