Hidden Splendour

We can see why this French country estate has been featured in a raft of interior design magazines. Inspired by mid-century modern architects, the layout, furnishings and finishes are not what you necessarily expect from these traditional buildings, but they complement them perfectly. There’s a main house and an attached barn, as well as two independent guest suites (one also has a sauna). Step into the gardens and you’ll find a wood-fired Nordic bath and a pétanque court. There’s also a greenhouse growing seasonal crops and an outdoor kitchen with a wood-fired pizza oven. Set in a small village within the Vexin Nature Reserve and just an hour from Paris, you’ll have plenty to see and do during your stay.
