Formerly a stonemason's workshop, who worked on local churches, schools and Ampleforth Abbey, this home has now been fully renovated for a comfortable stay. There's a wood burner in the double-height living room for cosy evenings in and a small courtyard for taking in the Yorkshire air. Opposite the cottage, you’ll find a café – there’s also a grocery shop within a five-minute walk and a couple of pubs. The market town of Helmsley, with its castle, gardens and a wide range of shops, pubs and restaurants, is just a five-minute drive too.
