You’re in a tiny West Yorkshire village, just a short hop in the car from the natural wonders of the Peak District. The exterior is honey-stone perfection with a plant-filled garden providing an al fresco spot for drinks and lounging in the sunshine. Glass doors fold back from the dining room for meals that feel as though they’re outside. A modern interior – black walls and leather sofas – is a far cry from the cottage exterior, but doesn’t take away from the comfort of this country bolthole.
