Area The delightful village of Carbis Bay is known for its magnificent stretch of pure white sand, which is only a short drive from iconic St Ives. The beach feels almost subtropical, with turquoise waters and protected conditions, and is ideal for an afternoon of sunbathing or water sports. Carbis Bay has a few shops and restaurants, as well as a fish and chip takeaway and a train station. One of the most beautiful rail journeys in the country is from Carbis Bay to St Ives.
